Hi: I have been having an issues with my Google Cameras for the past two weeks. I believe it started after updating my Google Home App software.
My issues are when viewing life feeds on multi-able cameras on my iphone in the Home app.
So I open the home app and it goes to favorites. I have 4 camera in favorites. They all show live feeds and work perfect.
Then I go to the Camera icon that has 11 cameras, with one shut off. When I open one of the camera live feeds it displays properly, then I go back to view the other Cameras life feeds and all the screens are black. They are trying to load, but nothing. The only way to go back to viewing my cameras is to close the app completely, then re-open it.
When the screens goes black I click the wifi icon and check the network performance. On that screen it shows Real Time Usage. Nothing on the graph is happening. 0bps Mbps upload and 0 Mbps download.
If I go to my wifi icon on my laptop, it shows my Router for wifi working fine. I also have Google whole home mesh wifi router 5 of them plugged into my Linksys router.
My system has been working perfect for the past 2 years at least with no issues. Any suggestion much appreciated.
Thanks Charles

There are issues with lots of people having this exact scenario. It’s not you or your connection it’s googles issue. Hope they fix it soon

Hi @Chuckies
Thanks also @Myboydustin
I'll escalate this thread over to the Community Specialists. I've been experiencing a similar issue on Android with the Google Home app favorites showing fine but opening a camera view from there results in a no picture.
You can try reinstalling the Google Home app or just clearing the app's cache just to see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Ya I've done just about everything I can think of. Was talking with a Google rep yesterday for like 1.5 hours. There are going to look into it. I install a new mesh router, reinstalled all the cameras twice. Installed my google mesh 5 pack twice. Down loaded the app like 3 or 4 times. Did lots of swearing. lol This system has been flawless for years now. Only had one issue with live feeds before and was fixed in a few days. I've also have the premium home plan, and I also have fiber internet. I have also had my data on cameras set to maximum and never an issue. It almost seems like the servers that store the data are the issue. My home app tries to load but it just keep spinning that little arrow on the screen. Maybe a glitch in the latest software. I have to much money and time installing all these cameras to walk away now and invest in a new system. Thanks Charles

Something else I'm noticing, At the top page of the Google Home app, you have a Favorite icon, All devices, Cameras, and WIFI Icon. I have 6 cameras in Favorites, and I can look at each of the 6 of them without any issues.
In All Devices I can choose any camera and it all seems fine. As soon as I go to the Cameras icon and start looking at the cameras, that's when I have the issue with black screens. I have 12 cameras installed. They are all listed in the Camera Icon. You can install any of them them in Favorites also.
If I click on the Wifi icon and then go back to the Cameras Icon all the screens are black trying to load. This is when I have to reboot the google home app. If I look in Favorites the camera images are there but the screens will turn black, and are trying to load.

Hi Folks: Just an update. I Was on the phone yesterday for a good hour testing my Fiber modem with my service provider. Everything checked out good.
Here's is where I at with the Google home app and the google cameras.
I open the Google home app and I have 6 Cameras in Favorites. They all work like there are suppose to. They load a bit slow with the spinning wheel in the viewing. I can go back and forth in any of the 6 cameras and it actually works.
I then go to to All Devices icon and it shows all the cameras listed and connected.
Then I go to Cameras icon and they all list and come up live. I have 12 cameras with one shut off. I can scroll up and down looking at each of them live. As soon as I click on one camera to view, I get the spinning wheel showing the camera is trying to load and eventually, I get a message, (live view unavailable). (The Camera maybe unreachable or saving battery) My cameras are all hard wired for power. I then exit that camera and go back to my Camera Icon and all the 12 cameras screens are turn black as I scroll through them.
I then have to closed the app completely to reboot it. I open the app up and everything I just explained repeats itself.
Very frustrating. Thanks for any help. Sorry if I sound like a broken record. At least 6 cameras will work in favorites. Oh, and if I add another camera in favorites it stops working and I get the wheel trying to load camera feed and then black screens. I think at one point I had 7 loaded and working. Once the home app locks up you can't do or change anything till you do a hard reboot of the home app.

Starting to wonder if this has anything to do with Google rolling out the new Gemini for Google Home app. I don't like the Gemini so I have it turned off in the home app. Maybe to do with new Second Generation Cameras, which I don't have.
Now I hear there is Google one, Google AI Pro, Google AI Ultra, Google Home Premium.
I only am using google Home Premium.

after years of using the Google Home app why am I suddenly having difficulty reviewing the camera video history while scrolling through an event..
I've determined it's not related to a one camera, it's not related to a specific Internet source, it is not related to a specific user.
we have multiple users at multiple locations having the same review problems.
it clearly is the Google Home app.the issue seemed to start about 10 days ago for all users involved.
we started the equipment. We've restarted the app we've restarted the Internet.
When will this issue be repaired by Google?.

Very common issue, many reports here and on Reddit, no action taken by Google to acknowledge the problem.

Thank for the replies. Yes Google better get their butts in gear. There is a whole lot of money involved in people having these Cameras. And paying for a service that is not working.
