Since the most recent update ro the new Google home, my WiFi has lost ¾ of its speed performance. For the last 6 months the speed has been recording at around 63-67mbps since the update it has dropped to below 15mbps generally and occasionally gets to 22mb.
Also I have a number of "works with" items, which have worked faultlessly but now the sockets for example which are lights will turn on with voice command but not turn off and I just get a message saying something went wrong. It got to the point where I had to delete them all and unlink the account to start again which fir 17 items took a couple of hours.
The latest thing is that spotify keeps dropping out and when I watch it keeps coming up that it is connecting.
I have restarted my network twice, I have unplugged all items for 10 mins and then slowly started plugging them back in but the issues are still persisting!
Is there a way to rill back to pre-updste or how long it is expected to take to fix the bugs that don't appear to have been tested properly
I should say my network for the last year has been very stable and reliable upto this last week.
The moat recent add it a hello wired doorbell which was fine until the home update

Hi Micklldo,
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delay. What Nest speaker do you own? What is its distance from your Wi-Fi router? Try the factory data reset to put it back to its default setting and observe if it will make a difference.
Keep me posted.

Juni

I have various speakers, including mini's, homes, hub's, and WiFi units, after the last big update on the home App i had to reset most of them becuase they would not connect to the home app properly.
the ones I am trying to link at the moment are the ones in my home office which are 1 mini and 1 home (hopefully a 7" nest hub too) they are no more that 3m from the main WiFi router.
when I try to link them starting with either speaker the other one does not appear as an option only ones in other places around my house ( I have 10 speakers in total, and 4 displays around the house)

Hi Micklldo,
Understood. What phone are you using (Android or iOS)? Try relinking the Google Home app and observe if it will make a difference. Using another phone will also isolate it.
Thanks,
Juni

When I respond it does not appear so assume you don't really want to sort it

Hey Micklldo,
Apologies for the delay!
Have you tried reinstalling the Google Home app? As long as you are using the same account, no devices will be lost when setting up your Google Home app.
Also, to further isolate, let’s eliminate network issues. Please try setting up one of your devices using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one to serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home or Nest devices). Once done, check if your device will have the same behavior.
Let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Sorry this has been so long was this about the fact that you can't pair speakers in the same room or that the speaker groups volumes will reset themselves from the levels I have set?

Hello there,
This would be about the loss and dropping of connection of your Nest devices and your Spotify. You mentioned an error message saying “something went wrong”, too!
Have you tried the steps above? If so, how was it?
Cheers,
Dan
