How do I get podcasts to sync across devices?

When playing podcasts on my display in the kitchen it picks up from where I left off on my phone but when I listen to podcasts on my phone, they don't pick up from where I left off on the nest display. It's as if I never listened on the nest display. Same Google account, same WiFi network, leaving 24 hrs between listening doesn't help.... It's just not syncing from nest to phone but it does sync from phone to nest.

Thanks for posting here on the community forum. I can imagine this is a bit of a difficult challenge, but I'd love to see what I can do to help.

Which podcast app do you generally use? Have you set this app as your default podcast service on both devices? If not, lets start there. We'd love to continue helping if you need it. So please let us know how things go.
