How to change the name of grouped lights in a room

I have two grouped lights in my bedroom that I've grouped for handiness. They're always dimmed and I use them at night to read which fluctuates in time so an automation wouldn't work. I like to turn them off with one tap since both light logos look identical. 

The name of the group is slightly too long for a widget on my watch, phone or tablet but unlike the individual lights, I can't see how to change the group name. 

I honestly am embarrassed complaining about this stupid problem but I'd love any suggestions.

To edit the name of a lights group in the Google Home app:

• Open the Google Home app.
• Navigate to "Devices."
• Select the lights group you want to rename.
• Tap the settings icon (usually three dots).
• Select "Name."
• Enter the new name for your group.
• Tap "Save."
