How to set default home

egburr

On the "Google Home for Web" website (https://home.google.com/), how do I set which of my two homes I want to have displayed as the default when I first load the page?

My second "home" is the trash home where I transfer every old device that can not be removed from my account but is no longer operable. For some reason, Google has decided that is now the home I should see first, and I would really prefer to have my real home come up instead of having to take the extra steps to switch to it every single time.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Hi egburr,

Thanks for posting. I understand that you want to have just your principal home structure as the default home and not switch between the second home that you use for no longer operable devices. I appreciate the information provided. I know how difficult this can be. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, the recommendation would be to delete the home structure that is not useful and just have the one that has your operable devices.
I hope this information helps.

Best regards,
Jenny

That answer unfortunately is completely unacceptable. The entire reason for the second "home" is as I described above. The only way I have found to remove old devices from my real home is to create this fake home to move them to. I spent almost two hours moving them, at 15 taps and almost two minutes in delays between taps per unremovable device, along with an occasional break to rest my finger. Short of doing this, these devices are impossible to remove.  This appears to be a well-known long-standing problem that Google has never solved.

I just want a way to make my real home be my default home, instead of first having the pile of unremovable devices shoved in my face every single time I go to access my home.
