My hue lights worked eprrectly for years with my best and google mini setups. I have 3 nest speakers and a nest display.

my hue app works perfectly, home assistant works perfectly and Yale app worked perfectly with hue. All have done for years.

i tried restarting my devices, I tried deleting the hue link to google home and now it just says something went wrong when I try to reconnect

i deleted any hue link in my google account

i tried deleting any google references in my hue account

i tried doing a bridge cleanup in hue

I tried adding a new account to the home and all of the above have failed to work

Hi, @68Lostsouls,

Thank you so much for posting in the community. I’m truly sorry your Hue lights stopped working with the Google Home app. I'm here to assist you in finding a solution.

To efficiently troubleshoot, please provide the following information:

  • Is your speaker or display powered on and successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network?
  • Do you have Philips Hue light bulbs that are successfully set up on the same Wi-Fi network?
  • Can you control your Philips Hue lights using the Philips Hue mobile app?
  • Have you successfully linked your Philips Hue account to your speaker or display via the Assistant Settings? If not, please follow these steps to link your account.
  • What specific action are you trying to perform with your Philips Hue lights (e.g., turn on/off, adjust brightness)?

Please verify the following:

  • Your mobile device is connected to the same WiFi network or linked to the same account as your speakers and displays.
  • Your Google Home and Philips Hue bridge are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • You are using a mobile device with the same Google account linked to your Google Home.
  • You are using the same Google account as your primary account within the Google Home app.
  • To verify your Google account:
    • Open the Google Home app.
    • Tap "Account" in the top right corner of the home screen.
    • Ensure the listed Google account is linked to Google Home. If necessary, switch accounts or add a new one.
  • To verify Philips Hue light bulbs are linked in the Google Home app:
    • Tap "Settings" > "Services" > "Works with Google.".
    • If your lights don't appear, force close the Google Home app and try again.
    • If your Philips Hue light bulbs are still not listed, follow these steps to relink your account.

For a list of supported voice commands with Philips Hue, please refer to this article: supported voice commands with Philips Hue.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana

yes all on the same network that the hue hub is wired into

hue app all controls the lights I have as do all the smart dimmers as does Siri in Apple home

I had all accounts linked and working but when they stopped I tried first to re authenticate which didn’t solve the solution so I tried to remove the link and then add again but now it says accijjt linked then spins a circle for a while then says oops there was a problem,

so now I have a situation where the lights are no longer listed at all in my google home account, there are no linked accounts and I can’t link them

Hi, @68Lostsouls,

Thank you for your response and for your efforts in troubleshooting the devices. I'm happy to assist you further.

Since you've confirmed that your Wi-Fi and Google account are working correctly, let's try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Reboot Google Nest or Home speaker or display.
  • Reboot your WiFi router:
    • Unplug the router from the power source for about 30 seconds.
    • Plug the power source back into the router.
    • Wait for the router to finish rebooting (usually takes about 1-2 minutes).
  • Reboot the Philips Hue Bridge:
    • Unplug the power source from the bridge.
    • Plug the power source back into the bridge.
    • Wait for the bridge to finish rebooting (usually takes about 1-2 minutes).

If these steps don't resolve the issue, please try the following:

Once everything is back online, try this voice command: "Turn on <light name>."

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
