This used to work but it broke. How do I fix it?
If I say "Hey google, start or play YouTube on the TV" it will start YouTube and play recommended videos. This is not what it used to do. If I ask to launch YouTube it says it doesn't understand. If I ask to start or launch Plex on the TV it says it can't understand. If I ask to play Plex on the TV it plays music from Pandora. If I ask it to play a specific movie or episode on Plex on the TV it says it can't find that movie/episode where I know that that is indeed on my Plex server.
As I said this stuff used to work but it broke. There are times where my Google Home knows the TV is named "the TV" and I can say "Hey Google, turn off the TV' and it turns it off. Then if I go to my Google Home Hub in the kitchen and ask to turn of the TV it doesn't know what device I'm talking about. Sometimes my Google Mini doesn't know or my Google Nest Wifi Extender doesn't know. Other times it does. How do I get all of my Google devices in sync with what other devices I have in the home! Very frustrating! It's about as bad as the error message "Something went wrong. Try again in a few minutes'". Whoever wrote that error message should be taken out, tarred, feathered and quartered (IMHO of course).

Hey defaria,
Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help.
I want to check if you are still unable to play YouTube or Plex videos via voice commands. Use "open YouTube/Plex on the TV" and see if your Google Home recognizes your commands. Try the voice commands on this support website so we can further isolate your issue.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Lovely

I used to be able to say "Hey Google, start Youtube/Plex on the TV" and it would start YouTube of Plex on my Vizio TV. Now my Google Home just says "I'm sorry but I don't understand'. How do I teach this dumb girl to start YouTube or Plex on my TV again?

You mean more than what I've already provided here?!? What an f-ing waste of my time!

Hello there defaria,
We understand where you're coming from. Our product team needs feedback from your Google Home device or Google Home app that's affected by the issue. There's no need for you to say or type in a lot of details. We'd appreciate it if you could include keywords like "YouTube and Plex not working."
Awaiting for your response.
Cheers,
Lovely

It is unclear from that link what to do. As you know my question was why when I ask Google to start Plex on the TV it says it doesn't understand where it used to just do it. In sending feedback it asks me to choose the device I'm sending feedback for. OK, which device should I choose? The Google Home that I spoke to or the chromcast built into my TV?
I submitted it for both devices. I will bet nothing will come of this, no solution, just a waste of my time.
