I can't change my username

Hey all,

I know this issue has already been brought up a few times on this forum, but the last active post about this was in August and it's now locked and has no replies, so I've decided to make a new thread about it. So in multiple threads about this I've seen community specialists/product experts tell the OPs of said threads to click on their profile > My settings > Personal. Someone has claimed that there's a "Username" tab in the Personal tab, but I have yet to find one. There's an option to change your name, but that doesn't do anything. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello KatiaB,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention for being unable to change the community profile name here in the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

To insert an image in a post:

 

  1. Hit reply and click Insert Image. (camera icon)
  2. Choose an image source location.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

 

I would appreciate it if you shared with us a screenshot of your community profile settings under Personal. To see options that are available on your end.
