Matter Integration UnsatisfiedLinkError

Spacefish
Community Member

Hello,

if i try to add any matter device via the Home App the home app crashes in google play services with an "UnsatisfiedLinkError"... Looks like the optional matter module in GMS tries to access the project chip native library but the java module doesn´t match the native library..
Happens during trying to access the base information cluster on the matter device...

gms version is 23, did two feedback reports in android with full stack traces + device log.

Srsly what are you doing? The matter integration is just not working at all on android, see all the reviewers trying to get it to work on YouTube and so on..
The optional matter modules in GMS keep uninstalling automatically and when they stay installed, they seem to include a native library which does not match the java / kotlin part calling it so crashing during runtime...
All of that after 1,5 years+ delays 😞

Hi Spacefish,

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry for this experience.

Please answer the following: what Matter device are you adding? What's the manufacturer? Can you give me the Google Home app version?

Make sure that the Google Home app and other Google apps on your phone are up-to-date. If you don't mind, please post a photo of what's happening so we can take a closer look.

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Lovely
