My microphne does not work... as Google Home does not respong.... How to set up the microphone.

Let's get this issue resolved, I would be more than happy to help! First, I have some questions to get a better understanding of this issue.

  • Which Google device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Is this a new issue? Was your Google Assistant working before?
  • Is your microphone turned off? Please check that it is toggled on.
  • What happens when you say "Hey Google"? Does the device react at all?
  • Are you seeing or hearing any error messages?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to the device itself? If so, what have you attempted so far?

Hi,

I have an iPhone and and Mac, but I want to use the Google Home hub with my smart home devices ( Nest cams and thermos, lutrons, etc ).  For google assistant, I plan to access it through my Sonos, so I won't have a good speaker in my house.

I there a way to access the full Google Home hub using my Mac?   I've got the app on my iPhone, but I'm guessing that it doesn't  have all the features of the full hub interface.

Any guidance appreciated and cheers!  Phil
