Multiple Residences: how to limit commands to each home

EarlyAdopter

I have mutliple residences. Primary, Vacation Rental 1 and Vacation Rental 2.

I have set up a Home for each of my physical places, and I have attached various devices within each home, such as doorbell cams, lamps, door locks and thermostadts.

The problem is, when I am at Primary and I say "Hey Google, lock the door," it locks the door in Vacation Rental 1. (I do not currently have a smartlock at my Primary residence, but I have multiple locks at Vacation Rental 1 and 2. I am unsure if the command given from Primary simultaneously locks Vacation Rental 2 also, but I am sure it locks Vacation Rental 1.)

How can I ensure that the command I give activates the devices in that specific home and not in the other homes?

In other words, I'd like to limit access to only the devices within the Home that is receiving the command (unless I specify the Home where I want the command to occur. For instance, if I say "Turn on the lamp," this should happen within the home that I'm in. But if I am in Primary and I say "Turn on the lamp in Vacation Home 1," it should happen in Vacation Home 1 and not in Primary.)

This is really problematic, because the commands that are given in my Vacation Rental 1 can be executed in my Primary home.

Please advise.

Thanks

Hey there,

Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that issues with your devices can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Please let me know.

Best regards,
