My morning routine repeats itself immediately

Each morning when my alarm goes off, I will tell Google I am awake. It responds and runs my set routine including running through any reminders for the day. 
As soon as this is done. The alarm goes off immediately after, meaning I need to tell it I am awake again. Once I do, it runs through the routine again. 
This is particularly annoying if I have a lot of reminders for the day. 
 
This was happening previously and I'd determined the issue was the device in my bedroom being the oldest of my google speakers (Google home mini that came with my pixel 2), and had replaced it with a new nest mini. 
For a week or two, everything was good and a few other bugs resolved themselves. 
However, for the last three weeks, this repeated routine thing has started again and I have no idea how to fix it.
 
Any ideas?

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am sorry to hear that you have ran into issues with your routines. I would love to look into this for you. I have a great article that goes over managing, and adding and removing routines. Take a look at those settings, and see if that helps.Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I'm currently having a similar issue... I have an alarm set up with google device (the one with sleep sense), and after I dismiss the alarm, it starts the morning routine. Once the routine is over, it starts the morning routine again. Been dealing with this for about a week now

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delay. A few questions: were there any recent changes before it started? Do you have another Nest speaker or display? If so, is it happening to them too? Also, What steps have you taken so far?
