Hey everyone, I’ve been using the Nest app mostly on my phone, but sometimes I also check it through Windows when I’m multitasking. One thing I noticed is that notifications (like motion alerts or doorbell activity) sometimes show up with a delay, especially if I’m running other apps in the background.
I was wondering if anyone else experiences this? Could it be related to how Windows handles background processes, or maybe it’s just the app sync? I was comparing this with how some apps I use for games (like this one: https://busimulatorindonesia.com/) handle notifications and real-time updates, and they seem much faster. Any tips to make Nest notifications more instant would be great.

Yeah, that delay can happen because Windows often puts background apps to sleep to save resources, so Nest notifications don’t always come through instantly. You can try adjusting the background app permissions in Windows settings or keeping the app active in the system tray.

Yeah, that’s pretty normal. Nest notifications can lag a bit on Windows since it’s not optimized the same way as on mobile. It’s more about background process handling than your setup. Best bet is to rely on the phone app for faster, real-time alerts.
