Nest app notifications delay on Windows when running background apps?

Hey everyone, I’ve been using the Nest app mostly on my phone, but sometimes I also check it through Windows when I’m multitasking. One thing I noticed is that notifications (like motion alerts or doorbell activity) sometimes show up with a delay, especially if I’m running other apps in the background.

I was wondering if anyone else experiences this? Could it be related to how Windows handles background processes, or maybe it’s just the app sync? Any tips to make Nest notifications more instant would be great.

Yeah, that delay can happen because Windows often puts background apps to sleep to save resources, so Nest notifications don’t always come through instantly. You can try adjusting the background app permissions in Windows settings or keeping the app active in the system tray.
