Nest aware subscription

Hello, I am a big fan of Google products but I am really struggling with Nest and Google Home. I can't seem to use my own email address so I need to set up a separate gmail account (even though I pay google to host my domain), I can't seem to invite anyone to join and constantly get messages that migrated accounts can't do this or that. Should I delete everything and start again with a new Nest Aware account?

Thanks

Hi Jeff - I thought you might say that. Just glad I can use a personal account so should be worth the effort.

Thanks

Hi, KiwiF1Fan.

Sorry about the frustration you're having with your account setup. I would love to help you figure this out. With the Google account that you're trying to use, is it a personal account, or is this a G-Suite account? Google Home is meant to be used with a standard Google account and G-Suite accounts will run into issues. Let me know if that might be the case. If you're using a regular account, we can look into other causes.

Thanks,

- Jeff

Hi Jeff

Thank you for following up.

We have a family domain @mailme.co.nz with email accounts hosted through g-suite. Now workspace?

We are not a business so now that workspace is no longer free for private users we will probably change, but I'd like to have a set-up that works for Google services, including nest. I currently have a Nest Hub and have just bought 2 x google cameras.

What do you recommend?

Thanks

Andrew

Hi, KiwiF1Fan.

It will prove to be a bit of a process, but It would be best to set up your devices and Home account under a single account. It can be a personal account, but use a non-Workspace account for managing everything. You would have to go through the process of setting everything up again under the new account, but this will ensure that all features are available to you.

Thanks,

- Jeff

I'm sorry there's not a more simple way to transition the account, KiwiF1Fan, but I appreciate your patience with the process. Before I mark this as resolved, is there anything else you might need?

Thanks,

- Jeff

Hi all,
As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this one as resolved and lock the thread in the next 24 hours, unless someone has any last bit of input. If anyone has any other needs, please feel free to open up a new thread.
Thanks,
Jeff
