Temperature sensor govee showing in fahrenheit and not celsius

EvelienVL

I have a temperature sensor from govee. In the govee app the temperature is set in celsius. In google home app the temp is fahrenheit. I already changed the settings on the google assistant in weather in celsius. I does nothing. I have reported it to govee but they said they reported it to google, as it is a known issue. Any help?

Just tried doing that today too and same issue. Looked through every setting possible in both the Govee and Google Home  app but no luck. Hoping they come up with a fix soon.

Same here. I've used the Govee Widget to see my Govee Wi-Fi Thermo-Hygrometer (H5179) temperature (which is in Celsius) but I like managing all my devices in the same place (in Google Home). I have the additional issue that Relative Humidity is not available in Home.

Hopefully Google and Govee can work it out.

Totally agree that Google Home should show temperature in Celcius and that it should also show Relative Humidity as that is the main function I got the Govee sensors for (monitoring humidity levels in instrument cases/rooms).

I reported it in the govee app as a problem
and received notification that they are going to forward it
if more people report it to them they might do something about it too

Same issue for me - I've also reported it to both Google and Govee

I weote this to govee support  and got the below reply:

1) Reports Farenheit to Google home. Not possible to change to Celcius in Google home, and Govee home shows correct temperature in Celcius. 2) Humidity is not shown in Google Home, but shown correctly in Govee app 3) When trying to use Automation in Google Home, you cannot select "Temperature" as a trigger. Only humidity is available in Automation, and that is unusable to me. Please correct this asap, I loved your products until I tried to use them to control our house.

I have the opposite problem, the Govee app shows the temperature in fahrenheit (as desired) but Google Home shows it in Celsius. Not sure what changed because it used to work properly. Still no humidity info in Google Home though.

Reply from Govee support today:

"Upgrade the app to 6.0.1. goolehome will synchronize the temperature unit set on the app. If the user encounters similar problems again, they can go to app>>device settings page to set the required temperature unit, and then return to goole home to refresh."

I didn't see a difference to start with,  but after coming within bluetooth range of the device it suddenly shows Celsius!

Unfortunately they had not addressed my other two issues; that you cannot use temperature from Govee in Google Home automation, and that humidity is  not shown in Google Home.

Thank you Funstuff, it finally worked, temperature is now shown in C ! Humidity is also not shown in google
