Unable to link Child Account to Lenovo Smart clock 2

I'm unable to add my family link child's account to her Lenovo Smart Clock in her bedroom. This is extra annoying as it means she can't play her own playlist or personalise her display. The Lenovo forums say this is a known issue and down to Google software, please fix it!

I've had no help from anyone. Lenovo say it's a Google problem. You say it's a lenovo problem.

Hey there, 

Glad to see that you came back to us. Do you mind telling us what error message or what issues you're having when you try to link the Lenovo device? Also what troubleshooting steps have you taken?

 

Here are the steps that you can take to link the device to your child's account. 

  1. Connect your child's phone or tablet to the same Wi-Fi network as your speaker, Smart Display, or Smart Clock.
  2. On your child's Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app .
  3. At the bottom, tap Home .
  4. Select the shared device you want to add your child's voice to.
