Unable to set white color on Tuya bulb using speaker

Mar0sk0

I have google smart devices setup through my whole house and have been having it work great for years.

A couple days ago the color smart lights (Tuya) I have in my bedroom will no longer turn white via Google home speaker. The options are still in the Home app in 2 modes - when I open specific bulb, there is color wheel and I can set cool white and it works. But in automation mode, there is no wheel and I can pick from few specific colors (warm white, cool white, etc) but whenever I select an option the lights are so dim despite being at 100% brightness. All of the white setting look very similar to the Alice Blue setting (very dim with a blueish cool white look).

I can resolve the issue by going into specific bulb in Home app, and making the changes manually there but no luck through Google speakers or automation. I have automation, that before sleep it set light to red and then turn off (if I need to use it during night) and next evening it turns on and then change to white. This automation is now changing light only to something like Alice blue. Any advice on how to troubleshoot? Thanks.

Hi Mar0sk0,

Thanks for reaching out and for the details you shared. What Google speakers you own. Are you experiencing the same when using your phone’s Google assistant?  Try to reboot your Google speaker and relink the lights then observe if it will make a difference.

Keep me posted.

Juni
