Zmodo cam won't load in Home App

I just linked my Zmodo cams to my Home App and they won't connect in order to see the live feed. The Zmodo account linked fine, Home is recognizing that cams have been added to the proper rooms, but when I click on the individual cam to see a live feed the Home App just keeps saying connecting. Is there a way to fix this?

The cams work perfectly in the Zmodo app so it's not the cameras.

Hi Zmchl,

Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. A few questions: are you using Android or iOS? When did it begin? Were there any recent changes?

You can force close and reopen the app and observe if it makes a difference. Relinking the Google Home app might also help.

I am running Android 14 but had the same problem on android 13. The Zmodo app has no problem showing the camera feeds but they are not viewable through the Google home App. Would love a fix. Thanks

Thanks for posting and letting us know about your Google Home app concern. Did it work before, or is this the first time that you linked your camera? Are you able to stream the camera using the native app? 

You can relink Zmodo to the Google Home app and observe if it makes a difference.

I recently linked my Zmodo camera app to Google home.  Like the others have stated here, I cannot view the camera live in Google Home.  I have two android devices one is Ver. 13 one is ver. 14.  Both have the same problem.  I also have a nest hub which will not display the camera live view.

I have never been able to get my Zmodo cameras to work via Google Home. They simply are not compatible.
