Previous owner had the Nest Smart Thermostat installed; they did not leave any information to login the online account. I still can control my boiler and centre heating through the controller (round one), it showed it can set up the wifi and login the account. I can connect it to my home broadband, but when I try to login nest app, it asked for the password. I tried to see back of controller and the one square one which installed next to the boiler, but I could not find any security code (a unique entry key) for login. It should not stop people to use the feature when change the owner of the house. The setting from the setting showed connected the app account already.
Looking forward for your reply. Many thanks!

My Nest thermostat is with heat link together. I believed previous owner had a account set up, I went on setting, connected with wifi, went on Nest app setting, it showed connected to a account, in the setting I checked the technical, it show heat link entry number(6 numbers), but when you set up the new Nest app in your phone, it asked 7 entry numbers, I could not find any 7 numbers or scan picture from the box or back of display.

Hi Morganzhu,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you can't change the account on your Google Nest Thermostat, and I'm happy to help!
Please follow these steps:
In the Google Nest Thermostat device: Go to Settings > Reset > Account Connection.
Once you reset the account connection, open the Nest app.
Tap Add device.
Select the thermostat model you have. If you don't know, please visit How to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
Continue following the instructions in the Nest app.
I hope this helps!
Regards,
Manuel
