Buggy irritating mess.. I ask it to turn lights off or play a show from my connected provider and it shows me YouTube videos.

Fix this please. I submit feedback daily on my CCwGTV.

I'd just like a web client to view all my Nest cameras (old (2020) and new (2021)) together.

I hate having to use both the Nest app AND the Google Home app to receive notifications and view my cameras.

How do I record and save clips on my old Nest cameras? Through the Nest app or Nest web app.

How do I record and save clips on my new Nest cameras? Only within the Google Home app on my phone.

I've got a lot of money in my Google/Nest ecosystem and I'm starting to regret it.

This is why I ditched my SmartThings devices. Everything felt scattered and user-unfriendly.

Seriously? This is what Google Managment has the software dev team working on?  Birthday kisses and more TV integration? Fix the train wreck you have allowed to rot, Nest app.  The nest app is loved by those who use it and it works.  The home app is written in crayon and abomination of an app.  Birthday wishes is the best you can deliver?

This is a joke right? TikTok is the last thing I need on my Google tv. How about you give me the ability to natively view my new wired indoor nest cams on it like I could with the old cams. The fact that it wasn't built in already is a joke.

What happened to multiple profiles on Google TV?

Please finish integration of the nest app over to the home app. Having to manage my smart home over two apps, especially the camera situation, is awful. The inconsistency of features for old vs new cameras between the two apps is a complete mess.

You say I can put apps on my Google TV from my phone, how?

Ok so let me make sure I got this right.  Google buys the original nest and turns it into a train wreck. The name Nest continues but as google nest. Almost all nest products are dumped except for the thermostat. Google takes the wonderful nest app and creates their own by giving crayons to the software devs and says here you go make a new app.  Now the newest updates are birthday wishes, more chrome crap integration and wow tiktok.  Wonderful… and tiktok is owned by a Chinese company which means every stupid video on there the government watches. So those of us with nest products pre-google only get forgotten. But hey we get birthday kisses from our hubs?

What's even worse about all of this is the fact that it takes google years for them to roll out garbage like this. We wait and wait and wait for functionality improvements or addons and this is what we get for our update, F$^&ing tiktok. What a crap show.

@TheJehu they now let you to select which device you want to install application into.

Meaning that you can just select your Android TV instead of your phone if the app is available for it.

Or you can download "send files to tv" aop from play store to your phone and Android TV, and then use that app to send apk files to your tv.

Our Google Nest Camera (Battery)--purchased in Sept. 2021--is still not getting better and still lacks the functionality of our older Nest cameras and still cannot be viewed from a computer.

We need that, not some trivial birthday function.

absolute sh!t show.

Could you explain what exactly is more personalised?

Does your dev team even have something they are aiming at?

currently you are REMOVING useability. adding nothing and telling us it's now amazing.

"All the little upgrades add up to more help and more fun. "

Everything you add breaks something else that was already working fine.

when will you fix casting so it is at least as useable as it was before you got found out for stealing Sonos' patents?

we dont care about a countdown to our birthdays. we want the features we had before you starting f@&cking about.

you are going to end up losing your core user base at this rate...

My google nest  "good morning"  routine doesn't run properly because of weird little add-ons they coded into the routine. It now does the normal good morning...rundown of the day and then it automatically adds on a dumb quote i didn't ask for, and then doesn't play the rest of the morning podcasts in the routine.

This also happened in February when they added on "Black History Month" at the end of the morning announcement. It would read half of the information on the person of the day, cut out and then not play the rest of the podcasts in my routine.

All I want is an easy to use nest. I bought one to help with the disabled people in this house. I wish it was more than a weird pet project for google.

I have multiple Nest/ Google products and have loved them for years.  That being said, I am growing frustrated with the experience recently.  You pay more for the hardware, pay for subscription features and end up getting less functionality.  I hate that I can not see the brand new camera on the web.  I have older ones and can see them on the Nest app, the Home app and a web browser, but the new one, only on the Home app.  I don't buy the needing more time.  It has been years since the acquisition and you are telling me Google does not have the ability to fully merge/integrate yet.  No remote temperature sensors in the Home app either.  When will there be just one application that can handle it all?  When will a web browser be supported?  Not everyone wants to watch it on a 5-6" screen when they have 20-30" screens.

The April 5, 2022 iOS update of the Google Home app is a HUGE battery hog.

I updated the Google Home app on my iPhone today. Afterward, I opened the app briefly to check our cameras to see whether there were any changes. Seeing none, I went about my day.

Later, when my iPhone battery unexpectedly reported Low Battery, I checked my battery usage and discovered that the Google Home app accounted for 78% of the battery usage, with 1 minute on the screen and 5 hours 53 minutes background usage. Obviously, I immediately closed the Google Home app to end this drain.

Something is seriously wrong.

The newer controls on the Google home app (IOS) don't allow me to change to color and diming level on my kitchen lights easily like they used to.

Another curiosity is that my wife's phone (same model and IOS version) still has the older interface on her Google Home app.  Both are updated to latest version.  I don't understand why they are different.

How about fixing the loss of features due to the current Sonos infringements? Many of us trusted Google and invested in your hardware, only for the only reason we purchased them to be taking away with no apology or offered refund.

Judging from the comments, you’ve done it with other products features as well…. Fix them or give us a refund so we can get hardware that works, please!

DISASTER OF AN APP LAUNCH

Why would you spend even a minute of development time working on a desktop app, tiktok integrations or any of this when your native app is missing critical features and the home hub is horribly underpowered and unusably unreliable??

Immediately:

- Add a scrollable vertical timeline with events of the type that we filter. (like the nest app)

- Add a smoothly scrollable vertical 24/7 timeline from iOS, iPadOS, nest home hub

 - Add ability to save clips on iOS, iPadOS, Nest Home Hub

- Remove this stupid “turn off camera” button blocking the view of the camera from the iOS and iPadOS app. Why would this be a button you’d think people would need over the ability to easily view history/save videos?!

- Allow keeping the camera views up 24/7 instead of timing out and returning to the Google Home main screen!

-Allow the event history view to remember what filters were previously chosen like the old nest app!

- Add ability to access history easily from main camera view (Really?!? Hide history 2 layers deep in the UI?)

we are committed to bringing the experiences and Nest devices you have come to love in the Nest app into the Home app. This will take time to get right, and we will continue to share more details as we have updates.

We are listening to your feedback and will continue to make improvements to advance the camera experience in the Home app. For example, we’ll soon introduce the ability to flip between events quickly and easily, which is helpful for events that are far apart, or if you only want a glimpse of the events versus playing them back fully. And we’ve also been working on rolling out a desktop experience for the Google Home app, so the new Nest cameras and doorbell feeds can be viewed and controlled from there. This will launch in 2022. ”

ITS BEEN A YEAR. WHERE IS THIS FUNCTIONALITY?!?

There was a beautifully designed nest app for cameras and you didn’t even consider what was good about it and keep what was good?

The new app is terrible because it’s missing essential functionality! This is beyond frustrating. Beyond the frustration of a 2 app experience. Your delivery of apps to meet your new hardware launch doesn’t meet the mark and your lack of an IQ camera replacement is beyond terrible!  Provide us a 5mp camera with excellent motion night-vision at a competitive price!

FIX THE NEST APP SO WE CAN USE IT IN THE MEAN TIME.

If you aren’t going to roll out these new features in a timely manner, Fix the old Nest app so our accounts aren’t logged out every 2-4 hours On iPad, forcing us to have to re-login or use the new home app. This renders it worthless!!

Our company is recommending everyone go with Reolink. Recommending to avoid Google products altogether until this is fixed!

"Services and content not available in all countries and regions"

Why is the comment above so?

There are alot of content and services we can not access due to our region in Africa but you roled those product here without the first hand warning, we pay so much for the chromecast with Google TV to be experiencing this kind of treatment. You should allow all regions to be able to access it just like you do with the android os on phones.

Kindly resolve the missing tabs on the chromecast with Google TV device e.g FOR YOU, LIVE, MOVIES and SHOWS.

Leaving it for the Western region alone is totally not fare considering the amount we in Africa and other regions pay for the device.
