So I have a Google Nest doorbell, Google wifi mesh, Google nest hub and a Pixel 6a phone
When someone presses the doorbell there's a delay of 15-20 seconds before the "someones at the front door" message or notification is heard anywhere.
As an example today a delivery driver turned up rang the doorbell and then knocked on door, I walked to door opened it picked up parcel and then the "someones at the front door" sound was played from the hub and I received the notification on the phone at the same time. Going over the saved video the button is pressed at 0:05 seconds and you can hear my phone notification at 0:20.
Doorbell is within 1.5m of a wifi hub. everything is up to date.
It's a bit **** and as I'm often working in a place visible from the door it makes it look like I'm ignoring the doorbell!

I have the same issue. Any notification from the doorbell is extremely delayed. For example, if someone triggers the activity zone, by the time I get the notification on my phone, they've already been in my house for a good 10/15 seconds. Doorbell presses can take a similar amount of time. I tried resetting everything to no avail.
I have other security cameras on the same network, which notify me immediately, so it appears it's just Google products having an issue talking to each other.
I've seen in other threads that Google says it's "a bug". Those threads are locked from last year, so we won't get a solution any time soon im guessing.

Same issue here, network is solid. Everything is fine, doorbell is delayed sometimes closer to 30 seconds.

Same here. Been like this for a month or so now. Yesterday for example I walked out of my house past the doorbell, got into my car, reversed off the drive and started heading up the road, and then my phone popped up a message saying "person seen". That person was me. Have had a few instances recently where somebody has pressed the doorbell, it's chimed outside for them, but the Nest Minis in the house and our two Pixel 7 Pros don't notify us for maybe 20 seconds, by which time the person has gone.

I get notifications right away but the video stream won't start for 30 seconds on all my nest home hubs. Really annoying.

Mine can be hours days or never. I wish mine were 15-20.second delays

Hi everyone,
We understand your concern about your device not working as it should, and we appreciate your reports here in the Community.
I'd love to dig deeper into this issue. What type of Nest doorbell do you have? Do you have an iOS or Android device?
Let's try these troubleshooting steps below (try to trigger a notification to test after each step):
Keep us posted.
Best,
Lance

Lance,
With respect these questions have been answered repeatedly and no solution or explanation has been given, nor has any response been received including when we've completed a form which has been linked to in ne of the many copy & paste responses on this forum.
In my experience the issue seems to have been improved, if not resolved, over the last week or so. I think the doorbell received a firmware update which may have fixed it (the image quality certainly looks different - brighter, a little more washed out than before) which may have done the trick.
Anyway, in answer to your questions once again:
* Doorbell type: Nest doorbell, battery, bought about two years ago I think.
* Android devices, but that's immaterial - the delay is exactly the same on our Nest Mini speakers, so it isn't just the phones that are delayed.
* "Connect the mobile device to another Wi-Fi or cellular network" - Irrelevant, as the issue is just the same on the speakers, not just the phones. Also, for the record, if I turn wi-fi off on my phone and connect via mobile data the delay is the same as the speakers, so this isn't a wi-fi / network issue.
* "Sign in to your account on another mobile device" - Irrelevant. This is happening on my phone, our Nest Mini speakers, and my wife's phone which is logged on with her account, so this isn't an account issue.
* "Connect the Nest doorbell to a different network" - Would love to know how you propose we do this. Factory reset the doorbell, unscrew the mount from the door, take the bell to another house and connect to their network perhaps?

BTW Heard that before from a different specialist - "I received your form, will pass it over." Never heard from anyone again, although a couple of weeks later another specialist said my form was never received. Hmmm - copy & paste responses strike again it seems.

Hi did you get my form as I haven’t heard anything yet ?

Form Completed Hi my Google Hello doorbell connected to the mains electric has a 15-20 seconds delay before the google hub says ‘there is somebody at the door’ this is really frustrating. I have a solid wifi mesh system using a Netgear Orbi on wifi 6 if this can’t be fixed I’m going to get rid of all my google stuff and move to the Amazon brand of Ring and Blink cameras.
