1st Gen Google Cams crash the Nest app since latest update (April 2024)

Since the latest "update" the Nest app won't let me view my 1st Gen Google Outdoor cam. I can see it through the regular portal, but the app closes when I try to access the camera's history. Given that 1st Gen Google cams history cannot be accessed through the Google Home App (why????) I am now without the history functionality.

We've been on version 5.76.1 of the Google Nest app for a few weeks and are not seeing this issue.

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the Google Nest app? Do you have another mobile device where you can check it?

If you want to try the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Nest-Cam-Outdoor-1st-gen-expanded-support-rolling-out-in...), you can then try "transferring" your camera to that version and get access to history in the Google Home app.

We have both 1st and 2nd gen cameras and doorbells, but are not using the "Public Preview" version because it still lacks many Nest app functions (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features), and 1st gen doorbells are still not eligible for transfer, so we still need to use the Google Nest app anyhow.
