1st Gen Nest Doorbell is Extremely hot

Whowhen
Community Member

I have a wired first gen Nest doorbell, and it has been installed for over five or six years. It has been trouble-free up until 2 days ago where it is now extremely hot to the touch and it no longer shows Wi-Fi connection or video. I have disconnected it and let the doorbell cool down, and reinstalled it with the same issue. I installed a standard doorbell and it works fine. I've tried the factory reset and no luck. Anybody have tips, ideas, or similar issues? Thank you
