1st generation outdoor cameras

We've had 2 outdoor Nest cams since 2017. I initially signed up with a non Gmail email and was forced to switch to a Gmail account in 2019 (Google makes it sound as tho we had a choice, we def did not!). We would like to add a 3rd outdoor camera however I would be purchasing another 1st generation since I absolutely REFUSE to migrate to the Google home app since it's a royal disaster. I'm also not going to use 2 dif apps to view my cameras and use my thermostat. I would like to be able to upgrade my subscription to the Nest Aware plus but don't want to be forced to use the Google home app.

My question that no one seems able to answer: If I upgrade to the Nest Aware Plus subscription, will I still be able to run everything from my original Nest app (1st generation outdoor cams and thermostat).

Question 2: If I AM able to upgrade my subscription and still run everything via the Nest app, can I add another 1st generation outdoor camera to that subscription and run it off the Nest app as well?

We had a Nest Aware Plus subscription with just 1st gen Google Nest Cameras and doorbells up until Sept. 2021 (when we bought a Google Nest Camera [Battery]) and were able to access the cameras and doorbells entirely from the Google Nest app (though the cameras--but not their history--were [and still are] present in the Google Home app, along with our Nest Hubs).  Even now, all of our Nest Aware Plus history is still accessible in the Google Nest app.

So your plan to add another 1st gen camera (assuming you can find one) and continue using the Google Nest app with a Nest Aware Plus subscription should work.

There's just one caveat: none of us know Google Nest's plans for the Google Nest app versus the Google Home app. For example, will Google Nest eventually migrate all functionality to the Google Home app (as they say their plans are) and phase out the Google Nest app?

Back in Sept. 2021, Google Nest's Vice President said "we commit to being more transparent with you on where we are taking the camera portfolio" (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Message-from-our-GM-Updates-for-our-Nest-customers/ba-p/...), but of course none of us have heard a single word since then.
