I have always been frustrated by Google products, but may have hit a new low. My wife tells me all the time to trash them and move on - we have 3 thermostats and 2 cameras.
First problem is the Google Home app - it is nowhere as usable as the Nest App was, and I just struggled to make a few clips off my Nest Cam 2nd gen because I changed network settings and unlike my doorbell cam or the thermostats, I can't just adjust the Nest Cam to the new settings. Instead, I have to delete the camera from the app and lose all my video history, and then re-install it.
For a company that is a major player in the online world, they really make horrible products and the only thing worse is the customer service that they source in India or whatever country they use. Time for some Honeywell thermostats and some new cameras as well.
