First off the two problems: notifications for the doorbell usually take at least 5 seconds. Also the image attachment in the notifications doesn’t work (at least on IOS). Both these issues have been around for a long time and many people have reported it, yet they have no priority in Google’s backlog.
So, since doorbells of other brands do allow you to disable the image preview and that does in fact take the notification delay down from 5 to 2 seconds (tested with eufy), it might actually help allowing us to disable it for the Google doorbell if it’s not going to be fixed anyway. This of course is assuming that attaching the snapshot is in fact causing a longer delay with these bells, which does seem likely to me.
