I have my new outdoor Nest cam added to my Google Home app but I can’t get it to add to my Nest App — from what I’m reading it isn’t possible, am I missing something? I want to be able to see ALL of my Nest cams on my Nest app, not just some of them. I have my Nest app linked to my apple watch so not being able to access them in one place when they all use the same platform is ridiculous.
Had I known this would be a problem, I would not have wasted my money on this thing. I wanted to add 2 more cameras but there’s no way I’m spending money on more unless this gets resolved.
Almost every day yet another Google Nest customer discovers what we ourselves discovered when we bought our Google Nest Battery Camera in September 2021. The Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021 work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

Hi Chrisdon23, Yes, MPLScustomer said it perfectly. What a hugh let down. I ended up returning my new cams and just bought previous gen 1 cams on ebay and will continue to do so until such time that the Google Home app has all the features of the Nest app.
I agree; HUGE letdown. If the stupid thing wasn’t already mounted to my house, I’d take mine back too. Lesson learned — even though the package says GOOGLE NEST CAM, don’t assume that it actually works with the Nest App. I feel like they should put a disclaimer on the box saying that it doesn’t work with the Nest App. Shame on you Google.
Well, there won’t be any resolve unless Google wants to either refund me for the Nest cam that won’t work with the Nest app or else fix the problem that prevents it from working on the app. In the meantime, I’d settle for finding an app for my Apple Watch that shows me all of my cameras, not just some of them. Why hasn’t Google put out a Home app for the Apple Watch yet?
Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.
However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
