Any updates on saving custom video clips from history?

All of the previous threads on this topic have been locked.

Over a year ago it was said that "we are committed to bringing the experiences and Nest devices you have come to love in the Nest app into the Home app"

Yet, I can still only make a custom video clip from my Nest Doorbell Camera and NOT my Nest Floodlight Camera.
Why is that?
I pay for Nest Aware, I would expect to get an equivalent level of functionality from a new product as I did from an older one.
I recognized that sometimes when a product first comes out that some features may be a bit delayed.
So, any updates on this?

It’s mind boggling that Google forced everyone off Nest platform onto Google Home knowing it didn’t work with that stupid promise to fix it when 3 years later it’s bigger mess even with their “new” cams. Paying $120 and can’t even watch real time let alone recorded content. Never loads. Answer? There is not any. Level 2 doesn’t respond which is supposed to be on some promise by email vs resolving it in escalated tier call after call.

Thanks, the blog post update is both helpful and disappointing at the same time.  I'm glad to see that there is work in progress and new functionality is still being added, but it still seems like it will still not be providing all of the functionality that we have come to expect when using the Nest app.
