Automated audio warning intruder deterrent - major request!

Ryushvah

I'm copying a post from last year with an exact same request posted by someone else. I would like to know if this is actually being worked on and will be implemented or not as my neighborhood of NJ is being targeted by criminals at nights stealing car and even breaking into homes to steal car keys and God only know what else. This is actually a very critical issue and in my view needs to be implemented ASAP.

"There are many cameras on the market now that have a warning sound coming from the camera when it detects motion. When I go on walks in my neighborhood I hear many of my neighbors driveway cameras make a whistle sound or say "you are being recorded" when I walk by the camera. Many security companies are now pitching this as a feature as to why you "SHOULD NOT" use an nest camera. Is it possible that nest cameras will have this feature added in a firmware update? If I can speak to someone from any of my cameras I cant see why an automated intruder warning sound cant be sent when motion is detected. It would be great to do this with my floodlight camera as a deterrent."

@Ryushvah   Hello, I'm and end user like you and would also like to see this feature.    However this is just a user forum and Google does not normally read anything posted here.  Also, for years I have been making suggestions and non of them have gotten implemented.    Google does not pre-announce anything and I don't think they ever will.   My suggestion is to keep your Nest cameras that you have and add a camera from another company to your home that has that feature.

If this were done, it should be an option that can be turned on and off. We wouldn't want our cameras sounding a warning sound.
