Just got my third Google nest battery doorbell because the other two stopped working. Now fresh out of the box and I can't connect my third doorbell to my wifi on the home app. Strangely enough when I open my wifi it says the doorbell is already connected. Please help. It shouldn't be this difficult to connect. I just recently got a new Wi-Fi modem and am thinking that is part of the issue, but all of my other Google products are connected like my Google thermostat and Google nest hub display. Why can't I add my doorbell again to the Google home app???

It sounds really frustrating! Since you recently got a new Wi-Fi modem, it’s possible that the settings are causing the issue. First, try restarting both your modem and the doorbell. Unplug the modem for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in, and restart the doorbell by holding down the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until it reboots. Next, open the Google Home app and remove the doorbell, even if it looks partially connected. Once removed, try setting it up again by tapping the “+” in the app to add a new device. During the setup, make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, as the doorbell often works better on that frequency. If your modem combines both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network, try separating them temporarily in your modem settings so the doorbell connects to the 2.4 GHz network. If these steps don’t work, try a full factory reset of the doorbell by holding the reset button for 15-20 seconds. Also, double-check your Wi-Fi settings to make sure things like MAC address filtering aren’t blocking the doorbell. If all else fails, you can try connecting the doorbell to a guest network or even a mobile hotspot to see if the issue is with the network itself. Hopefully, one of these solutions will do the trick and make it easier to get your doorbell working.

Thank you. Unfortunately nothing is working. I tried TMobile, my Internet provider, and they couldn't help either. I'll have to try to find a phone# to call Google. Thank you for responding though.
