First time google camera user - so let me know if I'm doing anything wrong (had an Arlo camera system in my old house)
I have a Nest Doorbell (battery) wired in my new home. When the WiFi is OFF for any reason (new sub division, fiber wire gets cut accidentally by contractors), even though there is constant power (via 12V transformer) to the doorbell camera - I see that battery drains pretty bad !! It drains the entire battery out in a day !!!!- When the WiFi comes back ON (after the outage), I see the device is offline and shows battery is empty. This has happened twice now !!
The camera works perfectly fine when fully charged and connected back to power - with WiFi working !! I'm not sure why with WiFi OFF, the battery drains so quickly !! I see the same behavior with my Nest Cam (battery) !!
Please help !!

And just to be specific, the weather was ~70F when it happened twice. So its not the cold temps causing this.

Hi @RoAllen,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm truly sorry to hear that your battery starts draining when your WiFi is off. Don't worry; let me help you solve this.
In this situation, we're going to try some troubleshooting steps to rule out any damage to your device after the outage you experienced. Before trying the troubleshooting, please make sure that the device is properly connected to its cable and adapter, and let the camera charge until its battery is full.
Then, you will try a factory reset on the camera. This process erases all your personalized settings, deletes the entire video history, and restores the factory default settings. It won't automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi, and you'll need to set it up again. Here are the steps to perform a factory reset.
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Lusvin.
