Best doorbell does not have notifications on my Alexa devices.

I have had my Nest doorbell for a year with no problems until it went offline (Internet was down for two hours). I had to reset the device and reinstall it in my Google Home. Now, no matter what I have tried (turned ON all settings) it will not announce on my Alexa devices when someone rings the bell. Help! I hope it is an easy fix.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. You may try the steps below.

 

Turn on Doorbell Press Announcements

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices.
  3. Tap and hold your device's tile> More> Settings.
  4. Tap Doorbell> toggle on Visitor announcements.
  5. You can now turn Doorbell Press Announcements on or off in the Alexa app.

Alexa doorbell announcements are only supported on Nest Doorbell (battery) and Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen).
