Do you have Eero routers?  This might be the problem.  Worth giving it a try.   However I have EERO routers and do not have this issue.

We contacted the router service people (Eero) who knew right away what the issue was - the cameras need to connect to 2.4 GH but the newer routers use 5 GH (or both).  They showed us a way to pause the 5, connect the cameras to the 2.4, then turn the 5 back on.  Not sure what type of router you are using but maybe their customer service could help you. We probably talked to 8 - 10 Nest people and none of them suggested that was the issue.  Good luck!

Hi Amanda11,

Thank you so much for posting in this community forum. Sorry for this situation that you are having with your camera, but don’t worry. Let's take a look at some troubleshooting tips:

  1. Close the app.
  2. Follow this article to restart your camera.
  3. Ensure your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on. Your devices should be on the same Wi-Fi network that you want to use for your camera.
  4. Try to set up your camera again in the app.
  5. If the help code still appears, and you’re using the app on another phone, reboot your device and check if that fixes the issue.

Let me know how it goes,

Daniel.
