Camera Black and White during day even with night auto detect on

I just installed my 8th Nest Camera and I know how to set video to Night Vision Auto (default), but is is still black and white with plenty of daylight all day.  If I turn Night Vision off it goes to perfect color, but if on Auto it is Black and White during the day.

Thanks for reaching out and providing detailed information. I understand that you're running into some issues with the Night Vision on your 8th Nest camera. I'm here to help you find a solution together.

To assist you with the best solution, I would like to get a bit more information:

  • When did the issue start?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  • What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?
  • Could you send me a screenshot that shows the issue with their video feed?

You can do this in the interim:

  • Change the position of the camera to ensure the entire front of the camera is unobstructed.
  • Move the camera to another room or area. If the issue persists, gather another screenshot for comparison to the original.
