I am unable to turn OFF my motion notifications on my outdooor nest cam. When I try to remove the “checkmark”, the screen loads and adds the checkmark again. I also have the opposite issue with my indoor camera, I’m unable to turn the motion notifications ON.
Im unable to turn the change check marks for motion alerts on/off. It’s like they are stuck to a default, and glitch when I try to change them. This is incredible frustrating.
I saw another post from Oct 2021 asking about the same thing, but thread was closed with no resolution.
Any suggestions?

I have the exact same issue and cannot figure it out, I have tried changing the location of my garage camera to bedroom or living room but it doesn't do anything, I just keep getting notifications every time a car drives by because the camera thinks it is motion

Its super frustrating. I cant believe such a huge glitch has been allowed to go so long with google. I reached out to customer service everywhich way I could think of to contact them, and got zero response. Best solution I have so far is to just turn off nest/google home notifications all together. Let me know if you figure something better out!

Hi - yes I still need help with this, thank you! I cannot turn off the motion notifications for this one camera. When I try to deselect "All other motion" the check mark just won't go away.

Hey folks,
Restarting and factory resetting your Google Nest camera or doorbell will have different results:
Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.
Factory reset: Erases all your settings and options, and restores its factory default settings. It will not automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi and you'll need to set it up again.
You can find this information, plus additional information on this process here. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Best Regards,
Brad.
