A couple of my camera have gone weird. Everything was working great but then a few days ago they had a strange colour tinge to them and now the quality as dropped massively, it's pixelated and blurry.
I've tried turning them off for a while but it didn't help.... Any ideas?

Hello, I'm an end user like you and have been using Nest cams for many years. From what you are describing it sounds like they have gone bad. If you have had them less than a year NEST will replace them. Otherwise all you can do is buy new ones.
If you want you can also call and speak with a Nest tech just to be sure. Here is a link that will let you get the process started and talk to someone.

Hi KarrieAnne,
I've a 3-4 year old wired Nest Doorbell with strong WiFi etc and it's worked perfectly from day one but yesterday the picture degraded to a point where it looks massively over exposed and pixelated with everything looking very white with glare etc. The camera is well shaded as it's in a porch and the weather is quite cloudy at the moment so it can't be sun shining directly into it or any other light source causing glare. I tried turning the Night time option off and back to auto thinking it might somehow be stuck in a night type mode but that didn't work. The picture is pretty unuseable so I need a solution. I was hoping a recent firmware update was causing a problem across many Nest Doorbells and would soon be fixed but EmptyNesters reply below indicates that's not the case. I guess I'll just have to reach out to Google Customer Service and see what they suggest.

Thank u Janthadeus, For your comment and reply.
But i dont think that the cams are gone bad. i think its a software issue. because since the last google home update more people having this night vision/blurry screen issues.:)

Google are really starting to annoy me. Received an email from them today saying in the screenshots you sent you've moved the camera this might be why it's playing up.........it's 3 different cameras as I have said repeatedly!!!!!
Send me new ones not on the same system or remove the last update!!! Simple!
10-12-2022 05:49 AM
True.. its anoying... i said repeatedly the same stuff.. like its a software bugg and not the camera,s and another guy was telling he has bought one new 2nd gen camera. and has the same issues!!! but google is like dipp**bleep**t -_- but true story..
