@PT2

If your camera is one of the new Google Nest cameras introduced starting in the fall of 2021, then you are discovering what others of us have discovered: these new Google Nest cameras and doorbells work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or with the home.nest.com website.

You can find Google's rationale in these blogs on this forum, along with numerous customer reactions:

Thanks that’s disappointing particularly as the Google app isn’t great with the Nest Thermostat

Hi PT2,  Yes, a very unhappy surprised.  My suggest is return them and purchased used Gen 1 cams from Ebay or where ever.  That is what I ended up doing.  The Google Home app is not usable given all it's limitations (it is a long list).

Your welcome,,, and to make matters worse there is NO WAY to view the new cameras from a computer browser.   What were they thinking in releasing this product lacking so much functionality.  All they have to do is let them work in the NEST app until such time that the google  home app is ready to go and they could have avoided this whole mess.   ... just my opinion.
