Can't Connect to new WIFI

rrbox
Community Member

We recently switched to new Tachus fiber internet and thus a new WIFI system.  I cannot get my Nest doorbell (battery) to connect to the new WIFI system.  I have removed the camera from Google Home and been through the steps many times.  I am open to suggestions.

rrbox, I have exactly the same problem, but I have a battery Nest Doorbell and Nest Camera.  I live in Australia and I need the same help as you. I have tried everything.  Does Google answer these questions?

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad

I am asking you to restart your Wi-Fi, and restart your cameras/doorbells. Follow the steps unless you know how already, and let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

G'day again Brad.  I tried as you suggested, but that still didn't work.  "something went wrong" keeps appearing. I feel as though I have to join my wifi, but I have no idea how to do that. Any more suggestions?

I would suggest trying to rename your new router/Wi-Fi information to the same password and name as your previous router/Wi-Fi connection. Doing so, makes it easier for your devices to reconnect to them without having to factory reset them and start over.

What do you mean by "restart your device"?  What device are you talking about?  Everything was working great until I got a new modem, therefore a new wifi. Now, none of the cameras will connect. There seems to be many complaints similar to mine, so something is very wrong.  I have tried everything I can think of. Please help?

Yes please.

I reset the Nest doorbell to the factory setting, but it still won't connect to the new Wi-Fi.  Do you what else I can do?

YES, I've finally done it.  Now I have to do the Nest Cam,
