I found other posts with the same issue but none of the suggestions I found have worked!
Our Nest Cam with Floodlight was installed and working. It went offline and we couldn't get it back online, so we deleted the camera & tried to reinstall. We keep getting the message "Something went wrong. Try connecting again. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your device or turning your phone's airplane mode on and off before trying again." We disconnected our doorbell and tried to connect the Nest Cam alone. We reset our wi-fi router. We cut the power to the Nest Cam to reset. Nothing works.

The reset button on the Nest Cam with Floodlight is on the back of the camera; you'll need something like a paperclip to depress the reset button:

Did you perform a "factory reset" before trying to reinstall? The instructions are after the "restart" instructions in this Help topic:
