I changed my wifi network.
There is literally no option for changing network name and password on Google Home.
I've been trying for 3 days to connect to my nest doorbell (battery). I 'forgot' the device, factory reset the doorbell, brought it upstairs to sit beside my computer while plugged in, and have been trying over and over. It lets me scan the QR code, goes through 'setting up joining device', then on 'connecting to joining device', it stops and says "Something went wrong". Then gives me no explanation or help other than 'try turning airplane mode on and off'.
I've been through the help forum articles, posted on Reddit, asked Chat GPT and I still have no solutions. Here are some of the ridiculous 'troubleshooting' options I've tried:
Restart your phone!
Restart your modem!
Try a different phone!
Enter the code on the back of the device manually!
Make sure there are no obstructions between you and the doorbell!
The Google forum is my last stop before throwing out this expensive brick and getting a more user-friendly device.

I don't have any further suggestions. I've seen several posts from customers having trouble reinstalling their battery camera.
You could try contacting Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone

It's more important for your doorbell to be close to a Wi-Fi access point than beside your computer, but I don't know if that explains what's going on in your case. Those "Something went wrong" error messages are certainly not helpful.

Mesh hub 0 is sitting right next to me, so it's as close as I can get it.

I'm strongly against the idea of completely resetting devices because I'm worried I won't be able to reconnect to them afterward. Unfortunately, my friend, you've just confirmed my worst fears. You've turned your device into an expensive brick, but before you decide to throw it away, consider that it can still serve as an expensive decoy, much like my ADT sign out front!
I apologize that I can't provide the information you're looking for. If you've already checked Reddit and other community forums, this might be the last place where you'll find answers. I often get into trouble for speaking the truth, so I'll leave it at that.
Here's a piece of advice: be cautious of people on this forum who have badges next to their names, like "super user," but who don't actually own or use any Google Nest equipment. For some reason, they feel the need to give advice, even though they have no real experience. So, just be careful. I'm in the same boat as you, my friend.

Going through the same issues you are right now.. I feel like i am the one writing this... a nest product should be the easiest thing to connect to a nest product. this is absolutely embarrassing for this to happen to Google/Nest.
