I cannot save a recorded video from the Google outdoor camera. None of the directions work. There is no full history icon, control icon, or download icon. Why is this so complicated? Nest cam was so much easier.

I’m with Adapo. When I go to the event history and open the event I want to save there’s nothing there. (1st gen nest cam)
when I go to my Google cam I get exactly what you posted.

The directions posted below work for us for downloading events from our Google Nest Battery Camera:
If you want to create and download a custom clip, you have to upgrade to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Public-Preview-updates-Expanded-support-for-Nest-Doorbel...). We have NOT done so due to the problems reported with transferring 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells, and because there are numerous Nest app features that are STILL not available (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features).

No. These directions are wrong. There is no “controls”.

"Controls" is the icon with three horizontal lines in the lower right corner.

There is no download or save clip there. There is settings, event feedback, help. Nothing about saving the clip

Are you talking about trying to download clips of events for 1st gen Google Nest cameras or doorbells that have been "transferred" to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app? If so, I don't have any experience with that. As I said earlier, we are not using the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app, due to the glitches with transferred 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells (we have 3) (and other glitches reported here) and because so many Nest app functions are missing there. We are still using the Google Nest app for all of our 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells. We've been using 2 apps for our cameras ever since buying a battery camera in Sept. 2021.

I would provide screenshots of the screen with the camera history event playing but it says I’m not allowed.
