Hi helpful people,
I cannot get the google home app or the nest app to register my new google nest cam (battery). Everything I am reading says it has to be set up in Google home but google home sends me to the nest app for setup and the nest app sends me back to the google home app. I have followed troubleshooting and reloaded everything and turned it all on and off 500 times. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thank you!

I have 2 new cameras that I was adding tonight to my Nest account. From what I read , they can not be added to the Nest account and only can be seen in Google Home. Google Home , from my view , is a poor camera management app. I am printing the return labels and sending back. Checking out the Arlo camera. will replace the other 4 Nest cams/Nest Aware I have with a new system

I am having the same issue but connection them through my home app. I had to delete them off my account due to WIFI change and add them back up but no matter what I have done I can not add my two battery cameras or my battery doorbell. The app does not help me on what I need to do.

Because Google Nest makes it difficult to update the network name and password on many Google Nest devices, they recommend setting your new Wi-Fi router to the same network name (SSID) and password used on your old router: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9223711?hl=en#zippy=%2Ctry-the-same-network-name-and-pa...
