Cannot remove nest battery doorbell to change Wi-Fi password. Help please!

I’ve changed the Wi-Fi password recently, and now the nest battery doorbell camera is disabled. I’ve tried to remove the camera/doorbell, but have been unable to do so with the special tool included in the box. Also unable to remove with small screwdrivers. How can I change the Wi-Fi password without removing the doorbell?

Hello @Paul60,

Thanks for reaching out. You can refer to this guide to help you change your Wi-Fi password.

Hope that helps! 🙂

@Paul60

I'm guessing you need to dismount your battery doorbell so that you can re-install it by scanning the QR code or 6-character Setup Code that are imprinted on the back of the doorbell. If that's the case, the video below, starting at about 3:35, shows how you should be able to dismount it. I've seen posts from other customers who have had much trouble dismounting their battery doorbell. You could could review the mounting instructions earlier in the video to see if that helps:

You could also check the Quick Start Guide that came with your doorbell to see if the QR code is printed there; other models of Google Nest Doorbells include the QR code there.

If you do manage to dismount your doorbell, be sure to write down the 6-character Setup Code in case you need to do it again. We've done this with all of our Google Nest cameras and doorbells.
