Charging Port Cover

I’m confused by the lack of silicone cover to protect the charging port of an outdoor device. I’ve had to replace several cameras due to the corrosion of the points that connect to the charger. It feels like planned obsolescence, which in my case by the ocean, happens every 6 months or so - far too frequently. Google, please make a practical solution for this issue available for purchase online, or like many cheaper products suited for outdoor use, include it in the box.
