Chest doorgbell does not notify that bell is rung

I installed two 2nd gen battery units Powered by the transformer (verified as 16 volts) installation is fine and camera works wonderfully but if someone rings the doorbell there is no notification. Installation and power off the prexistin* wired doorbell button. We have chimes in the house and they were  operational but now they are not. How and where do we get a notice the bell has been rung?

Do you have the "Indoor chime" option turned on in the Google Home app for both doorbells?

Several years ago we upgraded to a 16V 30VA transformer because our old transformer couldn't power two 1st gen Google Nest doorbells, and the 2nd gen doorbells require more power.
