Chimes for Nest doorbell battery

praveenvc

I have a Nest doorbell battery installed and its wired to a power adapter so that I dont have to charge it.

The power adapter is rated for an output of AC18V and 500 mA. I want to know which wired chime I can buy that will work with this. I dont want to buy something with a higher power transformer that will burn the Nest Doorbell.

Any suggestions?

Hey there,

A chime is not included, but when a visitor presses your Nest Doorbell (battery), you can hear an audible alert if you have compatible smart speakers or displays, like Nest Audio or Nest Hub. If you choose the optional hard-wired installation, it will work with your existing doorbell chime. Please let me know if you need any further assistance!

Best Regards,

Brad.

Thanks Brad. My existing doorbell was wireless. So I wanted to buy a wired doorbell. So wanted to know if there are any recommended wired doorbell chimes that I can buy that is compatible with a wired nest doorbell (battery)

@praveenvc

If you choose the optional wired installation for your Nest Doorbell (battery) by connecting it to your existing doorbell wires (8 to 24 V, 10 VA transformer), your existing wired doorbell chime can ring when someone presses the doorbell button. There is no main recommendation for a chime, so you can choose which one you think fits, and works best with your Nest Hello.

Best Regards,

Brad.
