Connect without QR code

My handyman installed the hardwired cameras on the exterior of my home before I could get the QR code/six digit number off the back of the mounting plate.  Is there anyway to get around this without removing them?

Unfortunately, no.

Did your handyman save the QR code sticker that was on the front of the camera (which is supposed to be saved in your Quick Start Guide), as shown at about 1:00 in the install video? If he did, you can use that.

If you don't have the QR Code sticker, you can get the Setup Code from the bottom of the camera, as shown a little farther on in the video.  Unless your camera is mounted with an anti-theft attachment, all you need to do to access the Setup Code is unplug the cable from the bottom of the camera and pull the camera off of the magnetic mount.

If the QR code label is missing or you’re unable to scan it with your phone, you can manually retrieve a Nest Wifi device or Google Wifi point code and enter the QR code into the Google Home app.

The Help topic to which you refer applies to Google Nest Wi-Fi devices and not to cameras, but it is possible to use the 6-character Setup Code instead of the QR Code, except that the Setup Code is also not easily available in this customer's case without taking down their cameras.

So true, thank you. I think I meant to support the concept of no apparent way to retrieve it without taking it down.
