Connecting doorbell to Sonos

I have just got a doorbell (battery). I want to connect it to our Sonos system so that when the bell rings we hear it on the Sonos inside the house. Can I do this, if so how? Thanks.

Hi MO20,

Thanks for choosing the Nest doorbell and I understand if you wanted to connect it wirelessly to your Sonos speaker. For you to do this, you need to enable the visitor announcements from your Google Home App. Here's how. Let me know if you have other questions.

Hello Ebedia,

Thank you for your reply. Visitor announcement is turned on. My 3 Sonos speakers are linked to Google Assistant but still when the bell rings there is no response on any Sonos speaker inside the house.

Hey MO20,

Thanks for sharing that with us. Let’s further check this — quick question: is your Nest doorbell and Sonos speakers paired in the same home structure in the Google Home app?

Thanks for the help, Emerson.

Thank you Janthadeus.  When doorbell rings I get notifications on my iphone, On Google Home settings, pressing Works with Google then under Linked there is Sonos

Going to All Assistant settings - Manage devices - Add Devices - Link Smart Home Devices - Linked; Sonos

Hi there,

Thanks for your patience. I want to make sure you're all good — did those steps you shared work?

Thank you. No, nothing seems to work. I have now discarded it and gone back to my old doorbell.
