Define an activity zone

I can't see my new Nest Cam (battery) in home.nest.com so how do I define an activity zone?  Please don't tell me that I have to do it on my phone.  I've got six older Nest cams which I want to update and bought this new camera as a trial but I'm thinking that the end-user experience is substantially worse since Google messed-up acquired Nest.

Hi ChrisIE,

Currently you need to use the Google Home app with the new range of Nest camera's. Google has said that sometime this year they will release a web browser accessable version of the Google Home app but haven't said if all features / settings will be usable from it.

Have a look at the Google Nest community manager post linked below.

Thanks Cathal, the new cameras are great but the s/ware around them is pretty poor.

I agree, I'm amazed that I can't even ask my Google assistant to display the new camera live stream on my Chromecast's as I can with the original Nest camera's 😒

Thanks Brad but I'm ok. I've accepted that the new software isn't as good as the old and moved on to look at other vendors products.
