Ding-dong chime duration Nest Doorbell (battery)

I wired up my doorbell and everything works perfectly, even with the old analog chime.

The only small problem I have is that if I set the chime duration to 1 second (shortest possible), it has a buzz in between the ding and dong as if the button is actually held for a second (which makes sense for a buzzing chime).

Is there any way to set this to less than a second or let the app know it's a "ding-dong" chime?

Just turn it off .  I don't know how it's worded in the Google Home app for the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), but for the Google Nest Hello Doorbell in the Google Nest app, the option is called "Chime duration" and asks if you have an electronic chime.  The "Chime duration" setting is intended to be used for electronic (digital) chimes and NOT for mechanical chimes that use 2 plunges to make the traditional "Ding Dong" sound.

if you are within the return window, I would 10000% return the device.  read other comments on this forum.  @User123456 needs to do better.
